How do I export from icWord® into other applications?

Once a document has been opened in icWord®, use one of the 'Copy' commands in the Edit menu, and then use the 'Paste' command to put it into other applications, or you can select part of the document and then use the familiar "drag and drop" method.

Alternatively, you can use the 'Save As...' command to save your document in one of the supported formats.

How do I adjust the fonts in icWord and icXL?

icWord® automatically matches the original fonts to the fonts installed on your Mac. If you'd like to override the automatic font matching, you can build your own substitution table by choosing the 'Preferences' command from the Edit menu (Mac OS 8 or 9) or from the icWord menu (Mac OS X).

Since icXL displays sheets written and formatted on different machines, it is possible that the fonts which were employed in creating the original document are not present in your computer. icXL automatically matches the original fonts with the closest font present in your machine. To make your own font substitutions, select the 'Preferences' command in the 'Edit' menu, select 'Roman Font', and choose the language for which you want to substitute fonts and enter your own substitution.

If the language you are interested in does not appear in the left scrolling list, then icXL may not support this language. In this case, you may try to select 'User Defined Font', which is used by icXL when it encounters an unknown language.
